WHEN DOES CHURCH START?
Services are on Sundays at 8:30 AM and 10:15 AM. Our 10:15 service has an ASL interpreter.
We will resume 3 Sunday services (8, 9:30, and 11 AM) on September 8th.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CHURCH?
We invite you to come just as YOU are. Wear whatever is most comfortable for you to worship in. You will see a wide variety of dress, from jeans to a bit more dressed up. You won’t stand out, just come as you are.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
If you have a Bible at home, we encourage you to bring it. Having your own Bible with will enable you to take notes or underline things for you to reference at a later point. If you don’t have a Bible, we have one available for you.
IS THERE A CHILDREN’S MINISTRY OR CHILDCARE AVAILABLE DURING SERVICES OR SUNDAY SCHOOL?
YES! Wausau Alliance is filled with young families and is “home” to a whole pile of kids! Our children’s ministry, WausauKids, wants you and your children to feel welcome! WausauKids is a ministry of Wausau Alliance Church that’s intent on focused discipleship of kids, so that they will grow to be active followers of Jesus who are sharing the gospel with others.
6 Weeks – 3 Years – NURSERY
Nursery care is available for children ages 6 weeks – 3 years. The nursery is available during both services.
3 Years – 2nd Grade – CHILDREN’S CHURCH
During both services, children ages 3 through 2nd grade are dismissed from the worship service prior to the sermon each week. Children’s Church begins with a time of music and also includes a Bible lesson and craft. Children can be picked up in their classroom after the service is finished.
Children 3rd grade & up are encouraged to stay in the service with their parents.
SUNDAY SCHOOL RESUMES ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH.
WHERE SHOULD I SIT?
Once you have parked and entered the building, you will be handed a bulletin. The bulletin will give you more information about the church and will help you get to know us a bit more. Once you enter the sanctuary, feel free to sit anywhere.
WHAT DOES THE WORSHIP SERVICE LOOK LIKE?
Our services always begin with musical worship. Music at Wausau Alliance is contemporary music with a full band of talented musicians. We love both new modern music as well as classic hymns. Musical worship is followed by teaching from God’s Word with application to your daily life. In addition, you will hear some general announcements and learn about upcoming events and opportunities to get involved. The service typically lasts an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half.
WHAT IS THE “ALLIANCE”?
If you have never before heard of the Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination, the “alliance” may sound a bit weird. Our denomination is made up of churches from all around the world that exist to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. While a large number of churches do exist in the US, there are actually more that exist outside of the US. The Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination has a very strong emphasis on missions and proclaiming Christ to the nations.
STILL HAVE MORE QUESTIONS OR WANT TO GET INVOLVED?
When you visit, you will usually see a pastor or staff member. Don’t hesitate to ask one of them whatever questions you may have. You can also fill out a Connect Card, which can be found at the Connect Table, or in the seat backs in the sanctuary.
For other questions, please feel free to call the office at (715) 845-3199 or
