Welcome to Wausau Alliance Churches' Children's Ministry! 

Children's Ministry at Wausau Alliance Church exists to glorify God through equipping our children with the Word of God in order that they may grow to love Jesus Christ. At Wausau Alliance Church we offer two different programs for our children to be involved in: Sunday School & Children's Church.

The children's Sunday School program exists to assist parents in their responsibility to bring up their children "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord".  Classes are held from September (after Labor Day) through the month of June. We use the "Children Desiring God" curriculum which is a solid, Biblically based series that states, "Our aim is to impart to children a vision of God, who He is, and who we are in relation to Him, and to establish in them a foundation of doctirne and truth...We want them to love the Lord their God with all their heart, and to delight in Him forever."

Children's Sunday School Classes Meet in the Following Classrooms:
Toddlers, ages 2 (by September 1)and 3 in room 110 
Preschoolers, ages 4 & 5, in room 102
Kindergarteners & 1st grade, in room 105
Second & Third grades, room 104
Fourth & Fifth grades, room 103

Children's Church is another aspect of the Children's Ministry at Wausau Alliance Church. Children's Church is committed to partnering with parents in presenting the gospel message to all children, inviting them to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior and then discipling them in their walk with the Lord. To accomplish this goal, we use the curriculum developed by Child Evangelisim Fellowship (CEF), which presents the Bible in it's entirety in chronological order over a three year period. Every lesson has a twofold purpose: 1) to present the gospel message for those who have never heard it, and 2) to encourage children who believe in Jesus to apply Biblical truths to their lives.
 
Developing a world view of Christianity is another important aspect of Wausau Alliance Children's Church. Every 6th Sunday, the children learn about missions through missionary guests or the "Kids on A Mission" curriculum. Children learn what missionaries do, why it is so hard to reach people, and how people have been called to missions. Most importantly, they learn that God loves all people and is patient in wanting them to all come to know Him. Each class has time for offering, prayer, memory verses, lesson time, game review, and of course, everyone's favorite, snack time!!

If your child is between the ages of 3 and 7(or in 2nd grade), we invite him/her to come to Wausau Alliance Children's Church to join us in glorigying God by learning who He is through His word, prayer, and fellowship.
