History Wausau Alliance Church came into existence in 1987 through the vision and energy of a group of Christians in Marshfield, Wisconsin. At that time it was felt that the Wausau community would benefit from a Bible-based local church with a strong missions emphasis. Wausau Alliance Church is part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance – one of 37 such churches in Wisconsin. The church met in a rented facility with the first worship service taking place on Easter Sunday in April of 1987. Through the vision, dedication, and sacrificial giving of church members, the property for the present location was purchased in 1996. On April 19, 1998,Easter Sunday, the church met for the first time in its present location on Franklin Street. Since its inception, the church has had three pastors and experienced significant growth and blessings. Our focus at Wausau Alliance Church is on preaching the Word of God with boldness, sending and supporting missions around the globe, and worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ with all our heart, soul, and mind. If you have more questions about our church, please feel free to contact us and meet with one of the Pastors. We would love to explain more about our theology, worship, education, and overall vision of our church.

Quote of the Week

“A God whom we could understand exhaustively, and whose revelation of Himself confronted us with no mysteries whatsoever, would be a God in man’s image, and therefore an imaginary God, not the God of the Bible at all.”
