What is the Remnant?

The Remnant is the student ministry of Wausau Alliance Church. We are called The Remnant because we want to stand as students that are set apart from the pressures of this world. We understand that worldliness is something that is constantly plaguing all people, and so we exist to provide a place of fellowship for students to be trained, encouraged, and challenged to stand against the temptations that face them today as they strive to reach the lost around them for the glory of God!

Acts 15:17 - “That the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord.”
Romans 11:5 - “At the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace.”

Purpose:

The purpose of The Remnant is to glorify God through relationships, worship, Scripture, and discipleship in order to exhort students to stand against worldliness and to view all of life as ministry.

Quote of the Week

“A God whom we could understand exhaustively, and whose revelation of Himself confronted us with no mysteries whatsoever, would be a God in man’s image, and therefore an imaginary God, not the God of the Bible at all.”

J.I. Packer - Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God
