Prior to that, he served for twenty-seven years as a professor in the University of Wisconsin and University of Missouri educational systems. Lou is passionate about teaching the Word of God and devotes the best of his time each week toward sermon preparation. Lou's passion for the people of Wausau Alliance Church is that they will acquire a passion for the glory of God that permeates all areas of their lives. He and his wife Ruth have been married for 37 years and have been involved in short-term missions and church planting. They have four daughters and three grandchildren.
Greg has been serving as the Youth and Worship Pastor at Wausau Alliance since May of 2007. After High School, Greg attended Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota where he received his bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry and Biblical and Theological Studies. After graduating from Bethel, he attended Denver Seminary where he received his Masters of Divinity. Being involved in ministry while in school, Greg has experience in youth ministry, college ministry, camping ministry, and worship ministry and feels right at home in the capacity that he is serving. When Greg is away from the church, he loves most outdoor activities including kayaking, skiing, rock climbing and camping. But most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife Nicole, and his son, Carter and daughter, Eliana. Greg's desire and passion is to see people fall more in awe of God's work in their lives and in the world. He desires that people would realize that the only way we are to respond to Christ's sacrifice for us, is by giving our lives totally over to Him for His glory!

God granted Polly the gift of faith when she was a child and she has loved His Word and serving Him ever since. Polly's love for children drew her to teaching and she earned a Bachelor's degree in elementary education from a Christian college. She has years of experience working with children in both paid and volunteer positions, and she thoroughly enjoyed parenting her four sons to adulthood. At this time Polly is a proud "grandma" of four grandsons and one granddaughter. The Lord has placed a burden on Polly's heart for children and families, especially for the spiritual training of future generations. This, combined with her experience in management, led her to accept the position of "Christian Education Director" at Wausau Alliance. Polly's fervent prayer is Psalm 145:4, "One generation will commend Your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts."
When you call the church on weekday mornings, more often than not you will be greeted by Barb Schoenherr. Barb began her ministry at Wausau Alliance Church as its first official church secretary on July 1, 1998. Since that time, her ministry has grown to include oversight of church office functioning, and she considers it a privilege to serve the Lord and His local body in this way. "My desire each day is to be a part of God's work in spreading the Word of God and the love of Jesus Christ in the Wausau area and around the world. The One who calls is faithful, and He will do it!" She and her husband, Gary, have been in the central Wisconsin area their entire lives, and have four adult children, Becky, Amy, Pam, and Eric; one son-in-law, Stan; and two granddaughters, Katie and Karah. Special interests include spending time with family, Bible study, reading, writing, fishing, and walking with their two dogs, Pinky and Molly. John 21:17 - "Jesus said, 'Do you love Me? Feed My sheep."
